The 2025 Nissan Murano is a mid-size crossover SUV with full-width LED taillights and "hidden" ultra-thin cube-shaped LED headlights in the signature V-Motion front grille. This gives the body a clean and modern design. New for this model year is a wider body, increasing by 2.6" so the doors can open more for easier entry and child safety seat loading. The tailgate and bumper were also redesigned, hiding the rear wiper and exhaust, while pushing down the license plate to showcase the new full-width LED taillights further.
The exterior design also received several updates. New "hidden" daytime running lights are in the grille, featuring cube-shaped LED headlights. A powered tailgate is standard across the lineup, with aluminum alloy wheel sizes ranging from 20" to 21"and unique aero cover colors per trim level.

The 2025 Murano has two rows, fitting up to five passengers and several interior redesign changes for this model year. It has thinner front seats that accommodate almost another inch of rear legroom and a flatter bottom steering wheel for easier driver entry. The center console design was refreshed for additional storage room. A new customizable 64-color ambient lighting system and Zero Gravity seats were added to improve cabin comfort (SL/Platinum standard and SV unavailable).
Larger dual 12.3" infotainment touchscreen displays with a new "Murano Glass" dashboard trim were introduced, with customizable live wallpaper and Google integration. This replaced last year's 8" display size and even color shifts with the cabin's surrounding light! A Murano-first heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats also became available (Platinum standard).
Upper trim levels unlock a panoramic moonroof for an open-air cabin experience. While the 10-speaker premium audio system has one fewer speaker, the speaker layout was rearranged to match the new interior specs for improved acoustics (SV & Platinum standard). Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, and Active Noise Cancellation are standard across the lineup.

2025 Nissan Murano Engines, Performance, & Reliability
The 2025 Nissan Murano has an all-new powertrain: a VC-Turbo engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing the former 3.5L V6 and CVT. It produces up to 241 hp and 260 lb.-ft of torque. While the horsepower decreased from 260 hp to 241 hp, the torque increased from 240 lb.-ft. to 260 lb.-ft.
The shock absorbers were also upgraded to improve ride quality on bumpy terrain. AWD models come with an Intelligent AWD system that consistently monitors road conditions and quickly responds for improved traction.
There are three drive-select modes to adjust the driving settings to your preference:
