The new Nissan ARIYA is an all-electric compact crossover SUV with four doors, a crossover-coupe body, new aerodynamic alloy wheels, and all-season tires. The exterior design is influenced by the 2026 Nissan LEAF, with a minimalist, sporty, and Japanese futuristic theme.
The body features sixteen V-shaped vertical LED elements, a new claw-shaped extension into the bumper area, sharper outlines, and a body-colored panel for a cleaner and sleeker front end. Last year's fog lamps were also removed, and the front horizontal bar now splits for a more open look.
Most of last year's paint colors should carry over, with new options expected to be offered and select availability per trim level:

2026 Nissan ARIYA Interior, Features, & Cargo Space

The new Nissan ARIYA will fit up to five people with two rows as a compact crossover SUV. The interior design remains mostly unchanged, except for a new Google-powered infotainment system, new vehicle-to-load functionality to power electronic devices, and a revised center console that removes the previous sliding cover.
All trims should have leatherette-appointed seats except for the top-level PLATINUM+ with leather-appointed seats. A six-speaker audio system is expected to remain standard, except for the PLATINUM+ with a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system.

The 2026 ARIYA acceleration times aren't yet revealed. We may see an increase from last year's specs, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in
7.5 seconds for FWD models and up to 4.8 seconds for AWD models.
The Sport, Eco, and Snow driver-select modes should carry over, adjusting acceleration, regenerative braking, steering, and traction based on different road conditions.

As a mid-cycle refresh, we don't expect new batteries for 2026 ARIYA models. The 73 kWh and 87 kWh battery pack options should carry over with an onboard 7.2 kW charger and liquid-cooled thermal management system to optimize performance in hot and cold weather.
We may see an increase in range and improvement in charging speed times for the new Nissan ARIYA. According to Nissan, the 2025 ARIYA models can charge
up to 80% in 90 minutes, except for the entry-level ENGAGE, in 65 minutes with a 50 kW DC fast charger.
The Level 2 and at-home chargers go from 0% to 100% in 10.5 hours for 63 kWh battery packs and 14 hours for 87 kWh battery packs. The Level 3 chargers can charge from 10% to 80% in only 35 minutes for 63 kWh battery packs and 40 minutes for 87 kWh battery packs.
