The 2026 Nissan Sentra release date was late 2025 and is available to buy at your local Nissan dealership now. The start of production (SORP) began at the Aquascalientes plant in Mexico.

The 2026 Nissan Sentra SL is the top-level trim with pricing starting at $27,990 MSRP.

The 2026 Nissan Sentra exterior has been redesigned, bringing bolder and sharper styling. It has a refreshed V-motion grille with extending lines into the lighting signature. The LED headlights are slimmer to blend more into the nose, and the body has sharper surfaces.

The trunk was also reshaped for better opening and accessing of large items, offering one of the lowest liftover heights in its class.

The exterior dimensions are the same for all trims at 183.3" L x 71.5 W x 57.1" H with a 4.7" ground clearance. Compared to 2025 models, the length grew by 0.6" and the ground clearance slightly shortened by 0.1".

2026 Nissan Sentra Interior, Seating, & Cargo Space

The 2026 Nissan Sentra can seat up to five passengers, with four doors and 60-40 rear folding seats.



The interior was revamped with a new, bigger, and standard 12.3" infotainment display that's two times brighter for easier reading in different lighting conditions. It has a segment-first touch-sensitive climate control panel and new soft door touchpoints for enhanced comfort.

All trims have standard Apple CarPlay integration, Android Auto compatibility, and wireless Bluetooth connectivity with streaming capabilities. Upper trim levels unlock NissanConnect with Wi-Fi hotspot and front wireless charging on the SL. Available interior features include a tilt/slide power sunroof, class-exclusive 64-color customizable ambient lighting, and SiriusXM.

2026 Nissan Sentra Engines, Performance, & Reliability

The 2026 Nissan Sentra has the same powertrain: a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with an Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). It produces up to 149 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque. Several enhancements were made to improve ride quality.

According to Nissan, the 2026 Sentra has 6% greater rigidity than the 2025 models with new reinforcements in the unibody. There's a new shock absorber valving to reduce impacts from road bumps. The CVT was retuned for smoother acceleration, and the body opening size was reduced for a quieter cabin.
