From an all-automatic transmission lineup to exterior restyling, it's likely to be the last Versa produced in the U.S. due to import tariffs and Nissan's new electric vehicle focus.

The 2026 Nissan Versa release date and production schedule details haven't been shared yet. We predict it to become available in fall 2025 and to be manufactured at the Aguascalientes plant in Mexico. We will update this once more information is announced.

The 2026 Nissan Versa changes aren't fully revealed, but testing photos and announcements show the following:

• Discontinued five-speed manual transmission models (all automatic lineup)
• Restyled front end

The 2026 Nissan Vera price and trim levels haven't been announced yet, but should have the same lineup as last year's since it's not an all-new model:

The 2026 Nissan Versa S should remain the base-level trim with estimated pricing starting at $19,500 MSRP.

• 7" NissanConnect touchscreen display
• Four-speaker audio system
• Cloth seat trim

The S+ Package should remain available, offering 16" aluminum-alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay integration, Android Auto compatibility, and 60/40 split fold-down rear seatbacks.

2026 Nissan Versa SV

The 2026 Nissan Versa SV should remain the mid-level trim with estimated pricing starting at $21,000 MSRP.

Trim-specific details aren't yet available for the SV, but it's expected to have the following features:

• 16" aluminum alloy wheels and all-season tires
• 7" NissanConnect touchscreen display with two first-row LCD monitors
• 7" multi-function information display
• Premium cloth seat trim

Several available features should carry over for the SV, including a dual camera drive recorder, side window deflectors, and interior accent lighting.

2026 Nissan Versa SR

The 2026 Nissan Versa SR should remain the top-level trim with estimated pricing starting at $21,500 MSRP.

Trim-specific details aren't yet available for the SR, but it's expected to have the following features:

• 16" machine-finished aluminum alloy wheels and all-season tires
• 8" NissanConnect touchscreen display with two first-row LCD monitors
• 7" multi-function information display and NissanConnect with Wi-Fi hotspot
• Sport cloth seat trim

Several available features should carry over for the SR, including a frameless rearview mirror with universal remote, a rear spoiler, and illuminated kick plates.

The 2026 Versa is a subcompact sedan with four doors and similar styling to the 2026 Armada. Prototype testing photos revealed a redesigned front end, taillights, and rear bumper. New two-tier LED daytime running lights, wheels, and hubcaps were also noticeable. The low and wide opening trunk should remain in the new Nissan Versa models.

The paint colors aren't yet available, but it should continue offering most options from last year, with select availability per trim level:

The 2026 Versa has two rows, seating up to five passengers. Interior design details aren't available, but it should continue offering the same standard infotainment features. These include wireless Bluetooth connectivity, a NissanConnect touchscreen display, and Siri Eyes Free/Google Assistant voice recognition.



Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are expected to stay standard on the upper-level SV and SR trims.

The 2026 Versa powertrain will have a 1.6L four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. It should produce up to 122 hp and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. The five-speed manual transmission is discontinued. The 2025 model year acceleration times from 0 to 60 mph in 9.5 seconds should carry over.

We expect the following drive-select modes to continue:

• Comfort
• Eco
• Snow
• Sport
• Tow

The 2026 Nissan Versa MPG ratings aren't available, but should remain the same as last year at 32 MPG city / 40 MPG highway/ 35 MPG combined for all trims as a fuel-efficient subcompact sedan.

The 2026 Nissan Versa safety ratings aren't available. We expect the perfect five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA to continue as a carryover model.

The following safety and driver assistance technologies should remain standard across the lineup:
