The 2026 Nissan Versa release date was March 2026 for the Latin American market. It was produced at the Nissan Aguascalientes A1 plant in Mexico.

2026 Nissan Versa Changes - What's New?

The 2026 Nissan Versa changes aren't fully revealed, but current announcements show the following as a mid-cycle refresh:
  • 2026 Nissan Versa discontinued for the U.S. market
  • Five-speed manual transmission discontinued 
  • CVT transmission refinements
  • Restyled front fascia and grille 
  • New two-level LED daytime running lights
  • Redesigned taillights, rear bumper, and front cabin seats
  • New wheels and hubcaps
  • Larger 12.3" infotainment touchscreens and an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system on upper-level trims
  • 12 total advanced driver assistance features

2026 Nissan Versa Price, Trims, & Configurations

The 2026 Nissan Vera price hasn't been revealed and will vary per Latin American country. Trim levels also haven't been confirmed yet, but should have the same lineup as last year's since it's not an all-new model:

  • 2026 Nissan Versa SV
  • 2026 Nissan Versa SR
The FWD configuration should remain the standard for all trims.

2026 Nissan Versa S

The 2026 Nissan Versa S should remain the base-level trim.

Trim-specific details aren't yet available for the S, but it's expected to have the following features:
  • 15" steel wheels with full wheel covers and all-season tires
  • 7" NissanConnect touchscreen display
  • Four-speaker audio system
  • Cloth seat trim
The S+ Package should remain available, offering 16" aluminum-alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay integration, Android Auto compatibility, and 60/40 split fold-down rear seatbacks.

2026 Nissan Versa SV

The 2026 Nissan Versa SV should remain the mid-level trim.

Trim-specific details aren't yet available for the SV, but it's expected to have the following features:
  • 16" aluminum alloy wheels and all-season tires
  • 12.3" NissanConnect touchscreen display with two first-row LCD monitors and 7" multi-function information display
  • Eight-speaker Bose premium audio system
  • Premium cloth seat trim
Several available features should carry over for the SV, including a dual-camera drive recorder, side window deflectors, and interior accent lighting.

2026 Nissan Versa SR

The 2026 Nissan Versa SR should remain the top-level trim.

Trim-specific details aren't yet available for the SR, but it's expected to have the following features:
  • 16" machine-finished aluminum alloy wheels and all-season tires
  • 12.3" NissanConnect touchscreen display with two first-row LCD monitors, 7" multi-function information display, and NissanConnect with Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Eight-speaker Bose premium audio system
  • Sport cloth seat trim
Several available features should carry over for the SR, including a frameless rearview mirror with universal remote, a rear spoiler, and illuminated kick plates.

The 2026 Nissan Versa is a subcompact sedan with four doors and similar styling to the 2026 Nissan Armada.

This model year has refreshed the body design with the following updates currently revealed:

2026 Nissan Versa Interior, Design, & Cargo Space



The 2026 Versa has two rows, seating up to five passengers.

Interior design details aren't fully available, with the following cabin upgrades currently revealed
  • Larger 12.3" infotainment touchscreens on upper trim levels
  • Eight-speaker Bose premium audio system on upper trim levels
  • Redesigned front seats to expand seating surface for better back and neck support

Wireless Bluetooth connectivity, a NissanConnect touchscreen display, and Siri Eyes Free/Google Assistant voice recognition should remain standard across the lineup. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility should remain standard on the SV and SR trims.

The 60/40 split fold-down rear seat backs and center console storage should remain available for flexible cargo space.

2026 Nissan Versa Engine Options & Capabilities

The 2026 Nissan Versa will have the same 1.6L four-cylinder engine, producing up to 122 hp and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. The five-speed manual transmission is discontinued, with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) as the only option. The 2025 model year acceleration times from 0 to 60 mph in 9.5 seconds should carry over.

We expect the following drive-select modes to continue:

  • Tow
The 2026 Nissan Versa MPG ratings aren't available, but should remain the same as last year at 32 MPG city / 40 MPG highway/ 35 MPG combined for all trims as a fuel-efficient subcompact sedan.
