Do Electric Cars Need Oil if They're Hybrids?

Hybrid vehicles, of course, are a little different than fully electric vehicles. Do electric cars use oil if they're not fully electric? Yes, because, unlike a fully electric vehicle, a hybrid car has both an electric motor and a gas combustion engine. These two components work together to deliver a much more fuel-efficient performance on our Buna roads than a gas engine. Because the electric motor assists the gas engine, it does not incur the same wear and tear that engines do in conventional gas-driven vehicles.
